Wear it Pink – 20th October #wearitpink
On Friday 20 October, everyone at DataSpace will be wearing pink, and helping to raise money towards life-saving research for Breast Cancer. DataSpace a document and data management company based in the North West are proud to be supporting ‘Wear it Pink’. We will be decorating the office, as well as having a raffle, cakes and pink sweep stake.
The company have supported numerous charities, the most recent being the Babygrow Appeal fund launched to raise money to build a new Neonatal Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Wear it Pink
Wear it pink is one of Breast Cancer Now’s biggest fundraising events – a single day when thousands of amazing people come together in work places, schools, homes and communities across the UK to wear pink, raise money and show their support for Breast Cancer Now.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.
Every year around 11,500 women and 80 men die from breast cancer – that’s nearly 1,000 deaths each month.
Thanks to research, more people are surviving breast cancer than ever before. More than 80% of women with breast cancer are still alive five years after diagnosis but around 50,000 women are still diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
